If ‘Best Practice’ is not the solution, then why make it a problem? Best/Good Practice is just a way of expressing ‘common, not too bad practice’ … it’s like a norm, except it’s not a standard … you may not want to use it, but at least you should respect it, learn from it and … most importantly … improve from it.
